Welcome to Sussex TRF
Much like any other Regional TRF Group, we are a friendly and diverse bunch here in Sussex, keen to preserve and ride our nation’s green roads in a considerate and responsible way.

A lot of time and effort is put into preserving our right to ride these legal
carriageways, not only for our enjoyment, but for future generations too.

Our members span a wide range of ages (as does their machinery), and we welcome all newcomers young or old, experienced or novice. Why not come and say hello at one of our meetings. We meet once a month at the social club in Ashington, see Contact page for details.
We try and organise a number of guided runs throughout the year, both mid-week and weekend, to suit all abilities. These are not limited to just Sussex, with Hampshire, Surrey and Kent on our borders, there is plenty of good riding to be had.
Foreign trips are also very popular, with members having recently ridden in France, Portugal, Spain, and yes even Wales.
Horse Events
Apart from riding rights of way, we are involved with helping out at various horse events around the county. These can be Cross Country, Hunter Trial, Pony Club, or occasionally Endurance Rides.
Our main involvement is to collect score cards from the fence judges around the course, and deliver them to the scorers ‘tent’. We tend to be well looked after with refreshments, food etc, and the organisers really appreciate our help. As you can see we are quite capable of providing our own entertainment.
